So this happened this weekend- My girlfriend Danica was crowned the 34th Red Lady at the Red Lady Salvation Ball on Saturday night. What that means is she is now the 34th person to hold the title of figurehead of our fight against mining on Mt. Emmons AKA Red Lady. Here is the story and here is the legend we inspired. This was an incredible night of fun and dancing and a relief from the stress we’ve been experiencing. This also means that we have work to do in raising awareness and helping educate people on protecting the environment. I’m so happy and proud of her and excited to be her Red Lord. Which is not my first title in Crested Butte but makes us officially Crested Butte royalty.
